Four-star wide receiver Daniel Odom narrows college search to six programs

Dan Lanning must be butter because he is on a roll. As the Oregon Ducks continue their National Championship campaign, the team has brought in the No. 2-overall 2025 recruiting class in the country and is working to cement the No. 1-overall 2026 recruiting class.
Most recently, four-star wide receiver Daniel Odom from the class of 2026 expressed interest in the Oregon Ducks as one of his six final programs under consideration for his future.
Alongside the Ducks are the Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma Sooners, Washington Huskies, Tennessee Volunteers, and Miami Hurricanes. Odom is a California native who has received offers from elite programs like the Georgia Bulldogs, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Ole Miss Rebels.
247Sports lists Odom with a 90-overall player rating and has him as the No. 41 wide receiver in his class – as well as the No. 29 overall athlete coming out of California.
"Can beat press and uses his body well to create separation," said Greg Biggins, a National Recruiting Analyst for 247Sports. "Strong kid who can bully opposing corners and picks up a lot of yards after contact. Shows good top-end speed and can routinely get behind a defense."
On Oct. 12 of this year, Odom visited Eugene and the then-No. 3 Oregon Ducks when Lanning's squad defeated the then-No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes – after visiting the campus earlier this year in June.
Odom's high school teammate and fellow wide receiver Kamryn Jones has also received an offer from Lanning and the Ducks.
"I would really say they’re at the top of the receiver core when it comes to all of college football right now," Odom told ScoopDuck following his visit in October and seeing the Ducks defeat the Buckeyes at home.
