The Oregon Ducks have always been a school with great results in the NFL Draft, and under Dan Lanning, the track record has only gotten stronger. This offseason, Oregon produced 2 1st round picks and 7 picks overall which is beyond impressive considering that Dante Moore, A'Mauri Washington, and Matayo Uiagalelei all returned to school.
As NFL Training Camps around the league began this week, the Ducks will get to prove their worth at the NFL level. Ahead of the start of the preseason, Madden revealed it's ratings for the upcoming game with several Ducks rookies sporting great ratings.
Dillon Thieneman leads the way in Oregon Rookie Madden 27 ratings
Kenyon Sadiq - Tight End - 74 Overall - New York Jets
Given how high Kenyon Sadiq was taken in the NFL Draft, and the fact that he was the first tight end taken off the board, it's a bit surprising that he'll debut as a 74 Overall in Madden 27. While Kenyon Sadiq's Overall isn't high, he'll be a monster in the game with a 91 Speed rating which is the highest of any tight end by 2 points over fellow rookie Eli Stowers out of Vanderbilt.
Dillon Thieneman - Safety - 77 Overall - Chicago Bears
While Dillon Thieneman fell further than anyone expected in the NFL Draft, the Madden ratings reflect just how excited everyone is for him at the next level. Thieneman will debut in the game as a 77 Overall with 92 speed and 88 agility. The game did however put a massive gap between Thieneman and Caleb Downs rating the Ohio State alum at 82 Overall.
Emmanuel Pregnon - Guard - 73 Overall - Jacksonville Jaguars
After transferring to Oregon, Emmanuel Pregnon solidified his place as one of the top guard prospects in the NFL Draft. The Ducks star joins the Jacksonville Jaguars, ranking as a 73 Overall which is impressive for an offensive lineman picked outside the 1st Round.
Jadon Canady - Safety - 73 Overall - Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to reload after a disaster season, and they turned to a former Oregon Duck in the NFL Draft picking defensive back Jadon Canady. Madden 27 placed Jadon Canady as a Strong Safety in the game, ranking him a 73 Overall with 90 speed as he'll patrol the back end of the defense.
Bryce Boettcher - Linebacker - 69 Overall - Indianapolis Colts
The one thing the Madden ratings team could've learned from Bryce Boettcher's time in Eugene is never to count him out. As a Day 3 pick at linebacker, Boettcher will debut as a 69 Overall, but when he hits the field, we'll likely see everyone realize that he's far more talented than he's gotten credit for each step of the way.
Malik Benson - Wide Receiver - 69 Overall - Las Vegas Raiders
After a breakout season at Oregon, Malik Benson rebuilt his NFL stock getting picked by the Las Vegas Raiders. Malik Benson joins a team needing explosive weapons as a 69 Overall looking to help Fernando Mendoza transition to the NFL. When playing Madden, Malik Benson will be incredibly exciting to use with a 93 spped rating.
Alex Harkey - Tackle- 67 Overall - Los Angeles Chargers
One Oregon Duck is tasked with protecting another as Alex Harkey was picked by the Los Angeles Chargers to protect Justin Herbert. As a Rookie Day 3 pick, Alex Harkey is a lower ranked player coming in at a 67 Overall. Given that the Chargers have Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater as their starting tackles, the best path to playing time may be eventually kicking inside to guard.
