Help is on the way for the Oregon offensive line after pivotal visits

Athletic offensive tackle Gernorris Wilson is the all-time Oregon leader in touchdown catches by an offensive lineman. A redshirt sophomore from Lakeland, Florida, he's a likely starter next season.

A'lique Terry will have to rebuild the Oregon offensive line next year, by every means necessary. The Ducks feature three senior starters this year Alex Harkey, Emmanurel Pregnon and Isaiah World, all transfers.

Center Iapani Laloulu is a draft-eligible junior who stated in fall camp that his goal was to follow Jackson Powers-Johnson's example by winning the Rimington Award and declaring early for the NFL, though his 2025 PFF grades haven't hit that mark. Thus far he's accumulated a pass block grade of 85.1, a run block score at 66.8.

Also in the two-deep are seniors Matthew Bedford and Charlie Pickard, though Puyallup, Washington native Dave Iuli is in line to return next year. As of the win over Wisconsin he's amassed 11 career starts. In 471 snaps this season Iuli has received a pass block grade of 88.6, which is stellar, nearly all-conference level, a run block mark of 53.6, much in need of an upgrade in technique and consistency.

With five leaving and a two-year starting center facing a decision in January, the Law Firm faces a reloading job over the winter.

Two major building blocks were on hand in Eugene for the Ducks 21-7 win over Wisconsin. Four-star Tommy Tofi and Immanuel Iheanacho, the 6-7, 345 five-star trench monster from Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda, Maryland, took in the Ducks win on a return visit after committing this summer.

Tofi at6-6, 330 and "Nacho" have the size and talent to play early in the Big Ten. Both are high school basketball players with exceptional agility and advanced technical prowess.

Gernorris Wilson took 17 snaps against Wisconsin and caught a touchdown pass, a 6-5, 318 redshirt sophomore and a transfer from Fresno State. True freshman Douglas Utu and Ziyare Addison both have plus-athleticism; they've each participated in two games as freshmen.

With all the coaching changes around college football it's likely to be the busiest portal season yet, with some prime opportunities to mine it for offensive line talent, though a shift to a more home-grown approach seems likely.

Thus far the top offensive linemen to enter the portal are Noah McKinney and offensive tackle Grant Seagren. Seagren is 6-6, 311, a converted tight end from Oakland, Nebraska, not highly rated as a recruit or a transfer.

McKinney is also a refugee from the OSU Cowboy debacle, a 6-4, 330 guard rated three stars. The portal opens for LSU players on October 31, five days after Brian Kelly's dismissal.
