Saturday December 20 at 4:30 p.m. PT, Oregon hosts Sun Belt Conference Champion James Madison in the first-ever College Football Playoff Game in Autzen Stadium. It'll be a raucous, energized environment as well as historic.

The game will be televised on TNT and HBO Max, which is a bit unusual for college football fans. It will still be a presentation of ESPN, so the announcers will be familiar, Bob Wischusen, play-by-play, color analyst Louis Riddick, Kris Budden, Stormy Buonantony as sideline reporters.

TNT is carried as a part of most basic cable and satellite packages and is included on streaming services like Hulu, Fubo and Sling TV.

The betting line has dropped slightly since the open, Oregon down a point to a 20.5-point favorite, the over/under reduced a point to 50.5, the MoneyLine at James Madison +900, Oregon -1600.

Ducks book planes, trains and automobiles for playoff odyssey

"To face James Madison in a playoff game here at Autzen Stadium, I think our fans are going to be unbelievable," Dan Lanning said at his first playoff press conference. It's going to be a unique atmosphere that doesn't exist, you know, in the last 20 years, and now you get the opportunity to experience it."

"I know our players are excited to play this team, just really getting started, hopping in, and evaluating these guys better."

Though it's too early for the 10-day forecast, weather could be a factor in Eugene for a night game on December 20. Typical winter solstice temperatures in the Emerald City range from 47 to 34 degrees, a 50 percent chance of rain and a two percent chance of snow.

On the field, James Madison is No. 5 in the country in rushing offense at 246 yards per game. They rushed for 318 yards and two touchdowns in their 31-14 win over Troy in the Sun Belt Championship. In September, however, FBS Louisville held the Group of Five Dukes to 126 yards on 47 carries, 2.7 per attempt.

If Oregon wins, they'll advance to the Orange Bowl on January 1 versus Big 12 Champion Texas Tech, from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, a 9 a.m. PT telecast on ESPN.

If the Ducks get past James Madison and then Texas Tech, they would earn a trip to the Peach Bowl in Atlanta in the semifinals, facing a possible rematch with Indiana on January 9th. The College Football National Championship Game is Monday January 19th at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, 7: 30 p.m. PT on ESPN.
