Key Stats: Penn State is 4th nationally in scoring defense after three games, allowing just 5.7 points per game. The Nittany Lions are No. 3 in the country in yards per play defense at 3.59.

Offensively, PSU features a potent running game, 5.53 yards per carry and 194 yards per game. In the Big Ten Championship last year they run for 297 yards against the Ducks.

Oregon's offense, while playing weak competition early in the year, remains No. 7 in the country in scoring at 50.8 points per game, No. 7 in yards per play at 8.09.

The Ducks have employed deep rotations on both sides of the ball in their 4-0 start.

Series history: The teams have met five times, with Penn State holding a 3-2 edge. In the 1995 Rose Bowl, PSU won 38-20 as Ki-Jana Carter broke an 83-yard run. In the Big Ten Championship Game last December the Ducks won in Indianapolis 45-37.
