How to watch Oregon Ducks in Championship Day of Players Era Festival MBB Tournament
By Sam Fariss
Despite a slow start to the tournament, the Oregon Ducks made their presence known on the first day of the Players Era Festival when they defeated the No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies by 10 points. While Oregon shot just 25-of-55 the the field, the Ducks' made 7 three-pointers and 23 free throws to edge out the Aggies and collect their first win of the tournament.
The next day, the Ducks had to face future Pac-12 member San Diego State. With the win, the Ducks would clinch the No. 1 seed for the "Power Group" of the tournament and would consequently play in the 1st place game against the No. 1 seed from the "Impact Group" – which would be either Alabama or Rutgers.
Oregon had a much better start as they tipped off against the SDSU Aztecs and shot nearly 64 percent from the field during the first eight minutes of gameplay. At halftime, the Ducks had built a 10-point lead over the Aztecs.
There was no looking back in the second half and the Ducks walked away with a 78-68 victory over the Aztecs. Oregon advanced to the Championship Game for 1st place on Saturday.
