So far this season, the Ducks have defeated elite programs like then-No. 12 Baylor and unranked Auburn yet have lost should-be wins against teams like Georgia Tech and South Dakota State.
Head coach Kelly Graves is in his 11th season with Oregon and is coming off his worst season yet with the program. The Ducks finished the 2023-24 season with an atrocious 11-21 overall record, failing to reach the NCAA or NIT Tournaments.
From 2016 through 2019, Graves and the Ducks made two appearances in the Elite Eight and an appearance in the 2019 Final Four.
With redshirt freshman Peyton Scott back to playing and with veteran leadership from Kyei and Kelly, the Ducks are looking to build a winning streak in conference play as they take on the Buckeyes. However, Ohio State has been on a hot streak this year and currently sits undefeated at 15-0 overall and 4-0 in Big Ten play.
