The Oregon women's basketball team had found their footing in conference play with a three-game winning streak (versus Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Penn State) until the Ducks had to face the No. 9 Ohio State Buckeyes.
After the close loss to the Buckeyes, the Ducks fell to 3-3 in Big Ten matchups and 12-5 overall. However, Oregon has a great chance to right the slightly askew ship with a home matchup against the Purdue Boilermakers, who are 7-9 overall and 0-5 in conference games.

Behind head coach Kelly Graves, the Oregon women's team has seen marked improvement from the last season, when the Ducks finished with a disastrous 11-21 overall record. Behind the talents of transfer players Deja Kelly and Amina Muhammad, Oregon has once again returned to its usual winning ways.
Senior Phillipina Kyei has continued to shine brightly for the Ducks while redshirt freshman guard Peyton Scott, who missed almost all of last season with a knee injury, has found her place on the Oregon roster.
