The entire quarterfinal round of the College Football Playoff is on ESPN. Miami and Ohio State play tonight in prime time at the Cotton Bowl, 5:30 p.m. PT. The remaining three quarterfinals kick off on New Year's Day, beginning with Oregon vs. Texas Tech in the Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, 9 a.m. PT.

The winner of the Orange Bowl will face the winner of the Rose Bowl, Alabama vs. Indiana, a 2:00 p.m. PT game in Pasadena. Ole Miss and Georgia square off in the Sugar Bowl, Thursday night, 6 p.m. PT from the Superdome in New Orleans.

If Oregon advances, they'll play in the Peach Bowl at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Friday January 9, 4:30 p.m. on ESPN. The National Championship Game is Monday January 19 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, 4:30 p.m. PT, also on ESPN.

The Ducks remain a 2.5-point favorite in the clash with the Red Raiders. The over/under is 51.5 and the Moneyline is Oregon -130, Texas Tech +110. Forecast temperature is 63 degrees and sunshine, winds 8-15 mph, a 2 percent chance of rain.

At a press conference this morning from Miami, TTU head coach Joey McGuire said, “It’s the best game without a doubt in these quarterfinals… It’s like looking in a mirror. You’ve got great defenses. You have explosive offenses. I think both of our offenses probably produce the most explosive plays in college football this year.”

He said Dante Moore was the best quarterback his team had faced all year. Probably the key element in the game will be which team is able to protect the quarterback while pressuring the opponent. Tech's highly ranked defense has thrived on quarterback pressure, stifling the run and turnovers, smashing all but one of their opponents by three touchdowns.

Only Arizona State could stay with them, a 26-21 upset in Tempe back in October when TTU quarterback sat out with a leg injury.
