The Oregon men's basketball team is in desperate need of a win after losing five consecutive Big Ten matchups. Now, the Ducks are set to host the Northwestern Wildcats as they look to turn their season back around ahead of the conference tournament.
With back-to-back-to-back-to-back... okay, you get the idea... losses to Big Ten opponents, Oregon has fallen to 5-8 in conference play and currently sits at 11th in the Big Ten standings. It's far from ideal and highly disappointing after the incredible start that the Ducks had this season.
However, the Wildcats are one of the few teams in the conference that have faired even more poorly than Oregon. Northwestern is currently 13-11 overall, 4-9 in Big Ten play, and stands at No. 15 in the conference.

The Ducks haven't had the same issues when it comes to their losses over the last few weeks. Against the UCLA Bruins, Oregon struggled to score but against No. 24 Michigan, Oregon was able to put up 76 points and take the game to the last second.
Head coach Dana Altman has called for more leadership and more effort from his players after the abysmal losing streak and Duck fans have yet to see that come to fruition. So, while the game against Northwestern isn't a do-or-die matchup, Oregon needs the win.
The Ducks and the Wildcats are scheduled to tip off at 9 p.m. PT from Matthew Knight Arena on Tuesday, Feb. 11. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
