Filing as John Doe, a fan in Colorado has sued the NFL for $100 million in punitive damages, "for the harm caused to the Plaintiff and the impact of the NFL's actions on his emotional well being," due to Shedeur Sanders' fall in the 2026 NFL draft.

The suit alleges that the league conspired against Sanders, causing emotional distress and trauma for the plaintiff. He alleges that Sanders' reputation was unjustly harmed by unfair statements and criticism including anonymous reports that the quarterback tanked interviews and displayed an entitled, cocky attitude.

If Doe collects, even a settlement of a few hundred dollars, Duck fans will be lining up around the block. Emotional distress and trauma? The possibilities for litigation are endless.
