Things couldn't be going much better for the Oregon Ducks as they've responded to last weekend's loss to Oklahoma State by jumping out to a 28-0 lead over Portland State in the first quarter. On a night where it looks like the Ducks could score 100 points, it's hard to find reasons to be concerned, but injuries can always surprise you, with injury reports not starting until Big Ten play.
On Friday Night, there weren't many surprises, as most of the players missing from warmups were players everyone knew were dealing with injuries. Among the players to take part in warmups was wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan, but when he wasn't on the field for the first few drives, fans quickly started to ask where he was.
Jeremiah McClellan's absence is a cause for concern ahead of Big Ten play
On Friday Night, it turns out that the reason Jeremiah McClellan's lack of playing time was because he was standing on the sideline sporting a walking boot.

Considering that Jeremiah McClellan warmed up with the team, and came out for the game on crutches and in a boot, you have to wonder if he suffered an injury before the game.

Jeremiah McClellan appeared to have a breakout game in the season opener, catching 6 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown against Boise State, appearing to be a potential WR1 for the offense. Last week left a ton to be desired, as McClellan caught just 1 pass for 20 yards while showing questionable effort on a few plays.
The Ducks aren't going to need Jeremiah McClellan in the Portland State game as this game is already getting out of hand. The bigger concern is that the Ducks are already dealing with an injury to tight end Jamari Johnson, and now the offense could be without another top target in McClellan.
Oregon will have an extra day to get both Jamari Johnson and Jeremiah McClellan healthy, with this being a Friday Night game. It'll be interesting to see what Dan Lanning has to share about the injury to his wide receiver in the postgame interview, as he may not want to give USC any help in preparing their game plan.
Injury reports will begin next week with the start of Big Ten play so Oregon fans may not have to wait long to learn more about the status of one of the team's top weapons.
