In January Mia Jacobs put up back-to-back double-doubles with 30 points in games against San Jose and Boise State, pulling down 10 rebounds each time.
It was the first time that any player in NCAA women's basketball had done that since Caitlin Clark in 2022.
On Friday Jacobs committed to Kelly Graves and the Oregon Ducks via Instagram. The versatile stretch forward from Perth, Australia gives them a legitimate scorer and rebounder after losing both Deja Kelly and Phillipina Kyei to graduation after their NCAA tournament run this season.
Jacobs finished second in the Mountain West in both scoring and rebounding this season, a dead-eye free throw shooter who hits 85 percent from the line and connected on 38 percent from three.
Her length and athleticism promise to get the Ducks back to the fast-paced, open-court style they employed when the lineup featured stars like Satou Sabally and Sabrina Ionescu.

Jacobs is only 1 of 3 players this past season to average at least 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals.

After earning three State League MVP titles back home, Jacobs started her U.S. college career at LaSalle where she played with her sisters Claire and Amy. When she came to Fresno head coach Jaime White said,
"Mia is a long, skilled and versatile forward who brought great experience with her into college and had a good level of success in her freshman year in the Atlantic 10. We love Mia's competitive drive and work ethic and are excited to continue the tradition of great Australian players here at Fresno State."
She joins UCLA transfer Avary Cain and Astera Tuhina from Washington State as new Ducks. Tuhina is 5-9 guard from Prishtina, Kosovo who averaged 7.8 points and 3.7 assists per game for the Cougs.
