'As required by the Big Ten, Oregon released its updated injury report for Saturday's 9 a.m. game at Northwestern, adding running back Noah Whittington and cornerback Sione Laulea to the questionable list.
Trey McNutt, Dillon Gresham and Evan Stewart remain out. Also questionable are DB Theran Johnson, RB Noah Whittington, QB Austin Novosad, OL Kawika Rogers.
Whittington was on the field and in uniform before the game, participating in warmups.
ILB Dylan Williams, ILB Brayden Platt, OL Bryce Boulton, WR Jack Ressler are out today.
Northwestern will be playing without leading rusher Cam Porter, out with a knee injury.
Whittington led all Oregon rushers in their first two games, starting the Montana State game with a 35-yard run and the Oklahoma State game with a spectacular 59-yard touchdown. The depth the team has displayed in the backfield gets a major test in his absence.
The senior from Peach County Georgia, piled up 159 yards in just 14 carries in Oregon's 2-0 start, with two touchdowns. Jayden Limar has been an emerging star for the Ducks, 9 carries for 107 yards including a 53-yard run, two touchdowns.
Limar and Whittington are two of the four Ducks averaging over 11 yards a carry.
Whittington's status could be an opportunity for Makhi Hughes, the Tulane transfer many expected to win the job as RB-1 for the Ducks. So far he's had a limited role, fourth off the bench in the running back rotation, 10 carries for 32 yards with a long run of six yards.

With the Green Wave he starred in the American Conference, 2,779 yards and 22 touchdowns over two seasons.
With rain and gusting winds in the forecast, it might prove to be time to take the wraps off the power runner, who had 1,982 yards after contact as a freshman and sophomore.
