He turns 19 on June 4th, a 6-6 off guard or small forward with a 7-foot wingspan, an Italian-Sengalese basketball sensation who played for FC Barcelona in Liga ACB, the top pro league in Europe, a step below the NBA.
Dame sarr is a bit of a rebel. He played in the Nike Hoop Summit on April 12 without permission from the Barcelona team, creating a mixup.
In a matchup of top international players versus a U.S. team of future collegians, Sarr poured in 17 points and four rebounds, capturing attention of coaches and scouts from around the country.
He thought about entering the NBA but decided to refine his game with a season in NCAA basketball. Illinois, Kansas, North Carolina and Oregon have all entered the bidding.
Sarr is a natural fit for Dana Altman, who loves athletic wings and has demonstrated a deft hand grooming raw international players with athletic ability. There's a big scoring hole in the Oregon roster with TJ Bamba moving on to the NBA draft.

Sarr's been playing internationally since he was 16. He features a smooth shooting stroke and an ability to hit the three, a capable defender with those long arms.
Against a U.S. team that included BYU freshman-to-be AJ Dybantsa (24 points), Arkansas freshman-to-be Darius Acuff (24 points) and Duke freshman-to-be Cameron Boozer, Sarr hit 5-9 from three, though the U.S. team won 124-114.
An explosive, athletic open-court player is exactly what Oregon lacks. The Ducks are still waiting to hear the final word on Nate Bittle, though guard Jackson Shelstad and forward Kwame Evans are returning for 2025-26.
