After knocking off the No. 20 Northwestern Wildcats, Oregon gets to turn the page, and enter another week all about spoiling another team's dreams. This weekend, the Oregon Ducks face the 11th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, coming off their second loss of the season. While the Ducks still have a slim chance at making the College Football Playoff with all the chaos around the country, this week could see the Ducks bring the Buckeyes down to their level with a 3rd loss.
Coming into the season, Oregon and Ohio State were seen as two of the favorites to win the National Championship, and even with both sides dealing with QB injuries, both rosters would love the chance to earn a statement win. More than any player on either side of the matchup, Oregon cornerback Na'eem Offord would love the chance to silence some of his biggest critics in this game.
Na'eem Offord can finally quiet all his Ohio State haters in matchup with the Buckeyes
When Na'eem Offord was coming out of High School, just about every school in the country wanted to land him as one of the most sought after recruits in the country. Ranking as the 12th ranked player in the country, and the 3rd ranked cornerback in his class, Offord spent most of his recruitment committed to Ohio State. That was until Dan Lanning and his staff were able to pull off a flip in December, much to the disappointment of Ohio State fans.

While Oregon fans watch every snap of the Ducks, Ohio State fans are seemingly just as locked in, and they're always seemingly trying to find a way to take a shot at Na'eem Offord. One Ohio State fan likes to use ESPN stats to judge a cornerback, ignoring that he's been a starter for the Ducks, continuing to develop as each week goes on.

Players need to stop seeking short term $ vs longterm development.
Aaron Scott DNP all season
Dakorien Moore star talent not used properly.
Na'eem Offord was promised signature shoes which they lied & scammed him. pic.twitter.com/TsCRu2vkgN
Other Buckeyes fans take any chance they get to remind Aaron Scott, Dakorien Moore, and Offord of their decisions, judging how they're developing on wins and losses.
Aaron Scott, Dakorien Moore, and Na’eem Offord yall happy with your decision 😂😂😂😂😂

Other Ohio State fans have even recognized how strange other members of their fanbase have been with their hate for Offord and Trey McNutt, just because they committed to other schools.
Y’all gotta let that Na’eem Offord and McNutt shit go man. People are allowed to go to other schools. Even if they might be inferior in every way. It’s ok.

This weekend as Oregon faces off against Ohio State, Offord more than anyone will have a chance to send a statement, and show the Buckeyes fans that he is living up to the potential. This Buckeyes offense isn't at full strength without Julian Sayin, but they still have all the talent in the world on the outside, and Offord will have to play a big role in slowing this offense down.
Jeremiah Smith plays most of his snaps on the outside, and when matched up with the best wide receiver in the country, Offord is going to have to limit his explosive play ability. Chris Henry Jr. also brings size and talent to the outside, and he'll need to have the same success against bigger receivers that we've seen in games like the USC game.
The Buckeyes are starting a freshman at quarterback in Luke Fahey, and the last thing you want to do is give him confidence early. If Na'eem Offord, Brandon Finney Jr., and Ify Obidegwu can shut things down early in this game, Ohio State could start to panic given the lack of success they've had since Sayin went down.
