The 2026 college football season is on the horizon, and while the excitement for the season is at its best, the action on the recruiting trail will bring a new wave of energy. Given the expectations for this season, paired with Oregon's dominance on the recruiting trail as of late, it should be a busy Fall with recruits taking visits to Eugene.
Thus far, Oregon hasn't landed a commitment in the 2028 recruiting cycle, but the coaching staff has done a great job building relationships early on. Getting recruits on campus will only help the Ducks' chances of reeling in commitments, and while it's early, it's shaping up to be another exciting recruiting cycle.
The Nation's No. 1 overall recruit Kameron McGee sets visit to Eugene
When the Oregon Ducks host UCLA on October 10th, there may be just as much attention on the sideline as there is on the field as Dan Lanning will have elite edge rusher Kameron McGee in attendance.

There aren't many names comparable to Kameron McGee in the 2028 recruiting cycle, as 24/7 Sports recently named the Illinois native their top overall recruit in the class. The Rivals' Industry Recruiting Rankings have McGee as the 18th ranked player in the Country, and the 6th ranked edge rusher in the class, as Rivals and ESPN rank him in the 50's.

This season, Kameron McGee had a monster Sophomore season with 10.5 sacks for Brother Rice High School in Chicago, Illinois. At 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds, McGee is only going to become more dominant as he builds out his frame and continues to develop an arsenal of pass rushing moves.
Getting Kameron McGee on campus this fall could have added benefits, as he's teammates with Notre Dame DT commit Brayden Parks. The Ducks finished second in Parks' recruitment, but there's always the possibility that Parks joins his teammate for another visit out to Eugene.
The Ducks have already gotten Kameron McGee out to Eugene, as he visited on June 3rd, and the more he makes the trip out West, the better. Given that Florida State, Georgia, and Texas will all get visits from McGee, this certainly won't be an easy battle to win, but all this coaching staff ever needs is a chance.
