History, tradition, regional passion, color and pageantry set college football apart from all other sporting experiences.

The new EA Sports College Football 26 attempts to capture every part of that magic, from play-calling to coaching to marching into the tunnel and pregame rituals.

The Ducks are prominently featured both in the game and into promotional clips for the game, something that's of great interest to video game aficionados, but more importantly, it continues to be a big factor in shaping the hearts, minds and imaginations of recruits.

Dozens of current players and prospects relate how Oregon was their favorite school growing up. They grew up playing the video game with LaMichael James and Marcus Mariota. It's created tremendous interest and awareness of the Oregon brand.

One of the most startling features of the game is its immediacy and vividness. It's cinematic. It brings the player right down to the sidelines and into the tunnel. You hear the fight song and the clack of cleats. The adenalin flows. It's immersive.

Dan Lanning is prominently featured, but it's not a good likeness.

The game adds new impact to official visit day, when a player gets to experience in real time and in real life what the video game suggested. The rumble of the Harley hits different. The jubilance of "Shout!" is more powerful. First born on a sofa hundreds of miles away, the dream becomes real.

Duck fans have heard player after player say, "Oregon was my favorite school growing up." That appeal starts with the uniforms, television and their feature role in the college football video game.

The Ducks have speed and style. Game Day at Autzen Stadium has its own remarkable magic.
