Northwestern fans going full Mike Gundy, chanting 'OVERRATED!' at Big Noon Kickoff

Whenever the Big Noon Kickoff panel talks about Oregon, the Northwestern crowd at the live set burst out in an "OVERRATED!" chant.

They apparently don't watch much college football. Last week Mike Gundy got Dan Lanning and the Oregon players riled up with some pregame comments, and the Ducks turned that into a 69-3 wipeout, 41-3 at halftime.

Gundy made midweek comments about how Oregon had "paid a lot of money" for their team, and the Ducks took it personally.

After the game quarterback Dante Moore said, "When you attack our head coach, it's like attacking my dad, to be honest."

"It's like you're attacking a family member. I feel like, as a whole team, it hit close to home. We knew that, every week, there's always going to be some trash talk coming. But for him to attack Phil [Knight], and to attack Coach Lanning, attack our team, was kind of personal."

Moore threw a couple of quick touchdowns against the Cowboys, 65 yards to Dakorien Moore, 42 yards to Malik Benson. He added an 11-yard score to Gary Bryant in the third quarter.

After manufacturing a feeling of disrespect, the Ducks ran five deceptive plays in the first 27 snaps, according to Fox analyst Urban Meyer. They hit OSU with everything they had.

Though the Ducks certainly aren't tuning it to Big Noon Kickoff (they're too busy getting ready, listening to mus)ic on their Beats By Dre) it's clearly a mistake to risk making them mad. If word filters down to the Oregon locker room, Dan Lanning could reprise his "the bull don't care speech."

Overrated? Wildcat fans are about to fool around and find out.

Meanwhile, the sun has broken out at Martin Stadium.
