On July 28, 2023, five-star-plus wide receiver prospect Chris Henry Jr. committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Since then, he has visited the Buckeyes once and the Oregon Ducks twice. Now, the recruit is continuing to fuel rumors that head coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks will flip his commitment.
Henry first visited Oregon on an unofficial trip in November, when the Ducks played and defeated the Maryland Terrapins. Then, Henry returned to Eugene on Oregon's Junior Day in January to visit with Lanning, his staff, and his team once again.
Most recently, Henry rocked a head-to-toe Oregon tracksuit, made by Nike of course, on National Signing Day (Wednesday, Feb. 5).

Despite Ohio State securing the National Championship win, many experts in the industry project that the Ducks stand a chance of flipping Henry to their team. Already, Oregon has one of the strongest recruitment classes in the nation, ahead of the Buckeyes and atop the Big Ten.
"When I was up there, I got to talk to Coach Lanning, Coach Adams, and Coach Stein," Henry said. "Their message to me was that I'm a priority for them and that they're not going to give up."

The Buckeyes, led by head coach Ryan Day, recently lost their most recent offensive coordinator Chip Kelly when he accepted the same job for the Las Vegas Raiders at the NFL level.
On the flip side, Lanning has kept his entire staff in Eugene during this offseason even as far as running backs coach Ra'Shaad Samples staying on Oregon's staff after turning down a job for the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.
At the end of January, when rumors of the Michigan Wolverines flipping Henry from their rivals, the wide receiver posted an image from the Ohio State National Championship celebration in the locker room after the game.
