Oregon basketball is off to a sparkling 4-0 record to the 2024-25 season and there's a chance that the Ducks could improve to 5-0 on Thursday night against a familiar foe.

The Ducks (4-0) are heading to Corvallis to face an Oregon State (4-0) team that hasn't truly been tested yet -- but yet again neither has Oregon. The Beavers have faced Cal State Fullerton, Western Oregon, Weber State, and Utah Tech. The Ducks have faced Troy, Portland, Montana, and UC Riverside. This is really the first test for both sides.

Oregon has had the most recent scare, being taken to overtime by Portland on Nov. 12 but the Ducks are looking to shake that off and improve to 5-0 on the year while beating one of their top rivals.

Oregon State, as we all know by now, is no longer part of the Pac-12 as it disbanded with everyone leaving so the Ducks and Beavers are no longer conference rivals.

With the big game approaching in a few hours, let's take a look at the final odds via DraftKings.

Line: Oregon -6.5
Over/Under: 139.5
Moneyline: Oregon -298 | Oregon State +240

It's a bit surprising to see Oregon as such a healthy favorite on the road against a fellow undefeated rival. The Ducks haven't been quite as dominant as they should be so far this season so we'll see how they fare in their first road contest of the season in a hostile environment.

I think this game is a bit closer than expected but the Ducks will pull off a tight win thanks to some late free throws. Dana Altman sticks it to Oregon State one more time.

Prediction: Oregon 70, Oregon State 66
