Oregon commit Dierre Hill Jr. has career day in Illinois state championship game

Four-star running back Dierre Hill Jr. is set to be an Oregon Duck in 2025 but most recently, he set his final high school game ablaze with a career day and jaw-dropping stats. Hill, who committed to Oregon in May, was unstoppable as he and Althoff Catholic High School were unstoppable in the Illinois 1A State Final.
Not only did Hill and his teammates walk away with a resounding 57-14 win over Lena-Winslow High School but Hill had the greatest performance in the history of the state championship game.
With 7 total touchdowns from over 500 all-purpose yards, Hill accounted for 42 of his team's points in the championship game. For a point of reference, the young running back had just 1,951 total yards and 25 total touchdowns during his entire junior season in 2023.
Hill also holds offers from the Georgia Bulldogs, Ohio State Buckeyes, Illinois Fighting Illini, and 14 other collegiate programs.
Oregon's assistant head coach and running backs coach Ra'Shaad Samples, who joined Dan Lanning's staff earlier this year, was the main recruited in Hill's process with the Ducks. Hill visited Eugene in June of 2024, just a few weeks after committing to the Ducks.
If the current junior running backs choose to stay with the Ducks for another year, Hill will join the likes of Jordan James, Noah Whittington, and Jay Harris in the Oregon running back room.
At 6-foot-0 and 185 pounds, Hill is slightly undersized for a collegiate running back – 15 pounds lighter than Whittington, Oregon's lightest running back who is just 5-foot-8. However, Hill possesses a shocking amount of speed and clocked a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash as well as running 11 seconds flat in the 100-meter dash.
