The main focus at this point in the college football calendar for the Oregon Ducks is recruiting, with Summer practices to come later in the offseason. Dan Lanning and the Ducks continue to see promising results with each official visit weekend as the coaching staff looks to build out the recruiting class. While the focus is on adding to the recruiting class, camps and showcase events allow the fans to appreciate some of the players already committed to the Ducks.
Thus far, Oregon has landed commitments from 4 players ranked inside the top 100, as each has a chance to end the cycle as a 5-star in the industry rankings. If one commit is poised to take a leap in the next update, it's Oregon safety commit Semaj Stanford.
Future Oregon safety Semaj Stanford earns All-American invite

According to the Rivals Industry Recruiting Rankings, Semaj Stanford is a 4-star recruit ranked as the 84th best player in the country, the 5th ranked safety in the class, and the 4th ranked player out of the state of Oklahoma. ESPN is the only recruiting service with Stanford ranked outside the top 100, and as he continues to impress that should change.
Oregon has struggled putting a defensive back class together with Ai'King Hall flipping from Oregon to Miami. The good news for Dan Lanning and the staff is that they clearly have an elite playmaker on board in Stanford, and he should be an easy player to build a class around.
