Heading into Thursday Night Football, everyone assumed that the Dallas Cowboys were going to walk all over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs started the season off with a dismal 0-4 record, and with Baker Mayfield sidelined with injury, there wasn't a ton of people giving the team a chance. Adding in the fact that, Dallas was coming off a big win over the Texans, and everyone thought the Cowboys would run the Bucs out of the stadium.
The only people who blocked out all the noise were the players, and on Thursday Night, the Bucs showed up in a big way, pulling off a 24-16 upset of the Cowboys. The win wouldn't have been possible without massive contributions from two of Oregon's finest.
Bucky Irving and Tez Johnson ignite Tampa Bay's offense in upset win
With rookie undrafted free agent Jalon Daniels starting at quarterback, it was all about making life easier for him. Even though he didn't appear to be fully healthy, Bucky Irving was dominant, giving the offense life. Bucky Irving finished the game rushing for 165 yards and a touchdown, adding another score and 10 yards on 2 receptions.

The play of the game came at the start of the 4th quarter as Bucky Irving ripped off a 72 yard run on a play that very easily could've been stopped behind the line of scrimmage if not for the effort by the Oregon great.

The play instantly led to a touchdown on the next play with Jalon Daniels finding Emeka Egbuka for a 14 yard score in the moment that truly flipped the game.
While Bucky Irving didn't get to score on his incredible 72 yard run, the Buccaneers made right by him on the neck drive, giving him the ball for a 1 yard rushing touchdown.
Bucky again!

While Bucky Irving stole the show with his performance running the ball, the undrafted rookie QB also had a solid game. The biggest flash from the Buccaneers' passing attack came when Tez Johnson snatched the ankles of Daron Bland to work himself wide open for a 62 yard gain.

Tez Johnson only caught one pass in this game, but his big play ability is what makes him such a valuable weapon. Despite the lack of targets, Johnson led the Buccaneers in receiving yards marking two Ducks who powered the offense.
The Buccaneers easily could've rolled over in what started to look like a lost season, but instead the team came together to pull off a shocking win. Bucky Irving is the perfect example of that determination as he clearly wasn't fully healthy, but kept powering through to lead the team to victory.
Every time that Oregon stars go on to the NFL and shine, it's great for the program and recruiting, and Saturday Night was another great mark for Dan Lanning.
