The Oregon Ducks are closing in on kickoff inside Autzen Stadium as the 2026 college football season is about to begin. Opening up the season against Boise State allows the Ducks to continue recovering from injuries suffered in the offseason as Oregon shouldn't need to be at full strength to win this game.
The concerning part for the Ducks fans is that this game isn't a Big Ten league game meaning the team is not required to release an injury report. Given that it's the first game of the year with no injury report, pregame warmups become a game of attendance as fans look to see who's dressed or missing from the group.
5-star WR Jalen Lott absent from Oregon warmups
When the Oregon wide receivers took the field for pregame warmups, the room was notably short on players. That's because UAB transfer Iverson Hooks appeared on the sidelines in street clothes, while exciting 5-star freshman Jalen Lott was also absent from the group.

Over the final weeks of camp, it was reported that Jalen Lott was dealing with injuries, but the extent of the injuries remains unknown until the staff discusses them after the game. Given that Jalen Lott isn't a starter, and this is an easier game, the Ducks don't need to push him before he's ready as his long-term health is far more important.
Oregon signed Jalen Lott as the 31st ranked player in the Country, the 3rd ranked wide receiver in the class, and the 4th ranked player out of Texas.
With Iverson Hooks and Jalen Lott both sidelined, some of Oregon's other younger wide receivers should see a ton of playing time. Freshmen Gatlin Bair and Messiah Hampton have both flashed throughout camp, and should get a solid amount of chances to prove they belong in the rotation this game.
