Oregon Ducks' Aaliyah McCormick wins gold in 100-meter hurdles

Aaliyah McCormick won gold in the women's 100-meter hurdles the final day of NCAA Track Championship at Hayward Field in Eugene Saturday night.

McCormick finished in 12.81 to best Jaiya Covington of Texas A&M and Marcia Sey of Howard at 12.93. Georgia won the team championship with 73 points, USC in second with 47.

Oregon's Ryann Porter placed eighth in the women's triple jump at 13.22 meters. In the 1500, the Ducks' Silan Ayyildiz and Klaudia Kazimierska took fourth and fifth, Ayyildiz reaching the finish line in 4:09.75.

In their history Oregon has ten outdoor national championships in track and field, but the last one came in 2017:

Eight graduate from Oregon football

Graduation ceremonies for UO's class of 2025 took place at Autzen Stadium, and eight members of the Duck football team earned their degrees, including Arizona Cardinals third-round draft pick Jordan Burch, starting quarterback Dante Moore, Emmanuel Pregnon, Tez Johnson, and Ajani Cornelius.

Duck all-time great at tight end George Wrighster earned his degree and walked in the ceremony, completing his credits after a long career in the NFL and broadcasting, fulfilling a promise to his family.

Massive visit weekend for Oregon football, hints of a commitment

Deuce Geralds, 6-2 Orlando 4-star 2026 safety Devin Jackson, Ryder Lyons, Idaho 4-star offensive tackle Kelvin Obot and 2028 Florida quarterback were among the official visitors for Oregon football this weekend.

Somebody committed, but it hasn't been announced who.
