Pro Duck Brandon Angel flashes potential in final Summer League game

Former Oregon forward Brandon Angel scored 12 points and pulled down 8 rebounds in just 18 minutes off the bench for the Phoenix Suns in their 111-87 win over Portland Saturday.

Angel transferred from Stanford and started 35 games for the Ducks last season, averaging 8.3 points a game and 3.8 rebounds in 25-10 season that ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Keeshawn Barthelemy got in for five minutes for Portland but missed both his shots. Getting invited to Summer League rosters was a step, but now the two await whether they'll get a shot at preseason camp or have to go around the world to play more basketball.

Wyndham Clark finishes strong at The Open Championship

There was no catching Scottie Scheffler, but Oregon golfer and former U.S. Open Champion Wyndham Clark rallied over the last three rounds of The Open Championship at Royal Portrush in Ireland.

After scoring an opening round 76, Clark shot 66-66-65 in his final three rounds to finish at -11 for the storied tournament, his best finish in a major this year, tied for 4th with Matt Fitzpatrick.

While Scheffler won the tournament by four shots, Clark's weekend surge earned him $730,667 in prize money, boosting his season earnings to $1,901,025, 68th on the money list.

Sabrina Ionescu is a real one

Friday night Sabrina Ionescu won the WNBA 3-point contest with 30 points in the final round, and afterward she told reporters she's giving half of the $62,575 prize money to rookie Sonia Citron of the Washington Mystics, the other half to her charitable foundation.

She told Kendra Andrews of ESPN, "I told Sonia that I would give her half if I won when we were sitting on the bench. Being the only rookie, she was nervous, and I was nervous for her. Obviously have to hold up my end of the bargain. So half is going to go to her."

After this weekend it's hard to tell who is The Most Genuine Person in Sports, Ionescu or Champion Golfer of the Year Scheffler.
