Hardball Ducks tromp MIchigan
Oregon snapped a three-game losing streak with five runs in the third and six in the fifth while ace Grayson Grinsell (5-1) gave them six strong innings on the mound, hammering the Wolverines 15-2 in PK Park.
Leftfielder Anson Arroz broke it open with a two-run homer in the third. Mason Neville went deep in the fourth. His two-run homer made it 8-0, the 13th of the year for the Ducks centerfielder, who's driven in 29 runs out of the leadoff spot.
Freshman Kellan Knox wrapped it up for the Ducks with a scoreless seventh inning. The Ducks turned three double plays and played errorless baseball in the field.

Austin Rapp commits to Wisconsin
Duck target in the NCAA Men's basketball portal Austin Rapp committed to Wisconsin Friday. The 6-10 forward had visited Oregon Wednesday but chose the Badgers.
The 6-10 freshman averaged 13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in 2024 for the Portland Pilots, connecting on 83 three-pointers, 35 percent. In the first week of the portal Iowa landed forward Tavion Banks of Drake. Purdue nabbed South Dakota 6-11 center Oscar Cluff, the No. 1 prospect in the portal. Former Michigan State star Xavier Booker moved west to UCLA.
The clock is ticking on Dana Altman and the Ducks, whose lone portal addition is Devon Pryor of Texas. Meanwhile Jadarian Tracey and Mookie Cook have entered the portal and Nate Bittle has declared for the NBA draft. It's past time to make some moves.
