Ducks add another clutch bat to Version 8

As a junior she started 51 games, 22 in right field, 12 at first base and nine at second base. Amari Harper announced a transfer to Oregon Monday, a .421 hitter with 8 home runs and 51 RBI at Texas A&M last season.

From Santiago High School in Corona, California, she earned second team All-SEC honors in 2024, a tough out who led the league with 9 hit by pitches, part of a .494 on-base percentage. In the conference tournament she set a tournament record with six RBI in one game against Texas.

For Melyssa Lombardi and Oregon Version 8 she'll take a place in the middle of the lineup, a reliable bat with a good command of the strike zone. She batted .415 in high school with a .551 on-base percentage, leading her summer team to third- and fifth-place finishes in national tournaments.

Her clutch hitting and position versatility make her a great asset for the Ducks.

Colin Cowherd asserts the Big Ten has passed the SEC

Winners of the last two national championships, the Big Ten has dominated in the college football playoff over the last two years versus the SEC. Host of "The Herd" on Fox, Colin Cowherd noted that Alabama couldn't move the ball against Michigan two years ago, while Ohio State destroyed Tennessee and Texas in the College Football playoff last year.

Cowherd said, โ€œSomethingโ€™s changing and whatโ€™s changing is money,โ€ Cowherd said. โ€œBig Ten schools are bigger. They have more graduates. Itโ€™s easier to raise money for NIL. You add in Phil Knight and the Nike money, add in USC and the LA economy money, the Big Ten cities, LA, New York, Rutgers, Chicago, Northwestern, Minneapolis, DC, Seattle."
