Oregon football recruiting: Three new Ducks in the tunnel

Recruiting analyst Hayes Fawcett sent Oregon fans abuzz with a social media post yesterday, suggesting the Ducks are poised to add three new commitments.

The On3 Sports graphics and recruiting news expert slyly posted a GIF of The Duck doing a jubilant worm up the sideline, captioned only with a Duck icon followed by "x3."

Oregon is due for a recruiting surge after a slow spring and an extremely active season of official visits in June. Some of the possibilities include:

Devin Jackson, a 6-2, 188 2026 safety from First Academy in Orlando, Florida, announcing July 3rd, down to Oregon, Nebraska, LSU, Miami and Florida.

On3 expert, Steve Wiltfong just entered a prediction that Jackson is going to choose Oregon. The long, active safety posted 80 tackles, 7 PBU, 2 INT, 2 FR and 1 in 2024.

A second player to watch closely is Panther Creek High School, Frisco, Texas two-way star Jalen Lott, 6-0, 177, the No. 50 recruit in the 2026 class and No. 3 athlete.

Lott won silver medals in both the high jump and long jump at the 4A Texas State meet on May 1st, something that immediately shows how explosive he is. At the end of his junior season he cleared the bar at 6'10" in the high jump while leaping 23' 7.25" in the long jump. That's some fluid athleticism.

Lott is an exceptional prospect at both wide receiver and cornerback. As a receiver he grabbed 85 passes for 1,111 yards and 16 TDs on 13.1 yards per catch.

Lott announces July 8 between Georgia, Oregon, Texas, USC and LSU.

The third recruit to monitor closely is either Davon Benjamin or Immanuel Iheanacho. Benjamin, a 5-11, 167 cornerback from Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California, visited Oregon on June 13 and Washington on June 20, the No. 70 prospect and No. 7 at cornerback.

He's posted over 32 offers including Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, USC and Texas, a high four-star several experts have tabbed for the Ducks. He picked off six passes last year and returned three of them for touchdowns.

In his highlight video Benjamin said, "The key to be a successful football player, you've got to be determined, you've got to be very disciplined, and you've got to really know if this is what you really want to do."

Iheanacho, of course is the five-star tackle from Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda, Maryland, the top-ranked uncommitted player in the 2026 class, slated to announce on August 5, a left tackle who stymies people.

Recent updates have him deciding on August 5.
