Four-star DT Deuce Geralds nears decision

Collins Hill High School defensive tackle Deuce Geralds of Suwanee, Georgia posted a final five yesterday of Oregon, MIchigan, LSU, Ole Miss and Ohio State with his commitment announcement scheduled for August 2nd.

The 6-2.5, 265 inside pass rusher and run stuffer visited Eugene on June 13. He's the No. 33 prospect in the country and No. 2 defensive tackle according to Rivals.

Wednesday Scott Reed of of Duck Sports Central wrote, "When I spoke with him at the Polynesian Bowl earlier this year, one of the things that really stands out is relationships - especially his relationship with Oregon head coach Dan Lanning. 'They had reached out to me, and Coach Lanning, when he was at Georgia, I had built a relationship with him in 8th grade before he took off to Oregon.'"

Geralds is a 2026 Under Armour All-American, a team captain and honor roll student. At his own website he said, "I absolutely love and bleed football."

What stands about him as a player is his quickness and tenacity. In January he became the first junior to win Polynesian Bowl Defensive MVP.

Kidsports hosts celebrity softball at Jane Sanders Stadium

Saturday July 12 fan favorites from the Ducks' football and softball teams will be swinging for the fences in a Home Run Derby at 5:30 and a game at 6:30 p.m. PT. Dante Moore and Bryce Boettcher are team captains.

The event is a fundraiser for the Emerald Scholarship Fund, which allows over 4000 kids to participate in youth sports. It's sponsored by Kendall Chevrolet.

Already the trash talk has begun. His teammates don't think QB-3 Luke Moga has much in home run power. That may be, but he could beat them all in a foot race.

At the Kidsports website, Dante Moore said, “Playing sports as a kid helped me develop the athletic and leadership skills I use today as a college quarterback. Kidsports helps children discover the magic of playing, growing and having fun. Kids who move, move the world!”
