PFF grades Ducks Alex Harkey No. 2 among Big Ten offensive tackles

A'lique Terry and the Oregon offensive line will be gunning for the Joe Moore Award this year.

New left tackle Isaiah World has been projected as a first-round draft pick. Center Poncho Laloulu has 15 straight starts and is a Rimington Award candidate. Matthew Bedford is back from injury, a projected starter at right guard. Immanuel Pregnon didn't give up a sack last year at USC, the Ducks' new left guard.

At right tackle Oregon will line up Alex Harkey, a 6-6, 305 senior from Texas State. The unit has good depth and position versatility with Dave Iuli playing both guard and center, Bedford with experience at Indiana at right guard, right tackle and left guard, Kawika Rogers a capable backup at guard or tackle.

Gernorris Wilson played in 8 games last season. Two athletic four-star prospects, Douglas Utu and Ziyare Addison, participated in spring practice. Charlie Pickard and Fox Crader give the Ducks the depth to go 10-deep in this unit.

There's size and athleticism, and Terry has shown the ability to develop a "five as one" mentality. Players like Ajani Cornelius and Marcus Harper II grew into NFL prospects as Ducks, and Josh Conerly was a first-round draft pick.

A tradition dies in Bristol

Lee Corso is retiring after the Week 1 game Texas at Ohio State, Arch Manning versus the defending champions, and ESPN College Game Day is retiring the headgear picks with him.

Few people could match the energy and showmanship the Coach brought to the bit, or the special relationship he enjoyed with The Oregon Duck.

Rob Mullens to get three-year contract extension and a raise

James Crepea of the Oregonian reported Friday that Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens is getting a three-year contract extension and a raise, pending board approval.

Mullens engineered the Ducks' move to the Big Ten. Under his leadership, the athletic program won or shared eight Big Ten titles in their first year in the conference. He also served on the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.

He's been the Oregon AD since 2010, coming over from Kentucky, where he was deputy athletic director.
