Pro Ducks: Pritchard takes flight in NBA
Former Oregon and West Linn High basketball star Payton Pritchard led the defending champion Boston Celtics to their 60th win Friday night over the Charlotte Hornets, 130-94.
Pritchard came off the bench for a game-high 22 points. The 6-1 guard singed the nets with 9-11 shooting and 3-4 beyond the arc, adding three rebounds, three assists and a steal in 22 minutes.
This season he's filled a role once held by John "Hondo" Havlicek and Jungle Jim Loscutoff, another former Oregon Duck, the Boston Celtics Sixth Man, the guy who comes off the bench and ignites rallies. He's the overwhelming favorite at FanDuel to win the Sixth Man of the Year Award.

Clark rallies at Masters
Former Oregon golfer and 2023 U.S. Open Champion Wyndham Clark bounced back after a first-round four-over-par 76 to get back to even on Friday with a four-under-par 68 at the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
Clark made the cut for the first time in two starts at the famed event. He showed tremendous composure, righting himself after starting the second round with three pars, a bogey on hole No. 4 and three pars, +5 and in danger of missing the cut.
He birdied hole No. 8, made three more pars and then caught fire with birdies at 12, 13, 14 and 17 to go out in 32 and card one of the best rounds of the day.
Britain's Justin Rose remains in the lead going into the weekend at -8. It's a leaderboard crowded with stars as defending champion Scottie Scheffler trails at -5 while 2020 and 2024 U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau lurks a single shot back at -7.
Rory McIroy of Ireland fired a 66 Friday to close within two shots of the lead at -6.
Have a day, @Wyndham_Clark!

Baseball rained out at Maryland, doubleheader Sunday
Oregon's No. 15-ranked, 22-9 baseball squad was rained out Friday at Maryland with the game moved to a Sunday doubleheader, rescheduled for 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. PDT.
Weather permitting the Ducks and Terps meet today at 1 p.m. for a single game broadcast on the Big Ten Network, carried on radio by the Oregon Sports Network, which includes 910 the Fan in Portland.
The Ducks are hitting .303 as a team with 61 home runs, tops in the Big Ten. Their three principal starting pitchers, Grayson Grinsell, Will Sanford and Collin Clark have combined for a 9-3 record, but the bullpen has had some rough outings in recent weeks, something they'll have to shore up with five weeks to go until the Big Ten Tournament.
