Dan Lanning clarifies Daylen Austin situation

After Oregon's scrimmage Saturday Dan Lanning addressed the status of redshirt sophomore cornerback Daylen Austin, who has pleaded not guilty in the death of Frank William Seaman in a car accident.

According to reports from Zachary Neel of "Ducks Wire," and James Crepea of the Oregonian, Oregon Chief Justice Meagan Flynn granted a motion to delay the trial for three to 12 months, allowing Austin to play this season.

"First, I had to get a little bit of clarification on what that all meant," head coach Dan Lanning said on Saturday. "There’s still a road ahead of us in some ways with this whole process. But I support Daylen, I’m going to let the process play out, and I’m excited for him and what’s ahead of us."
