It's been a tremendous year for Oregon baseball,

No. 1: What's love got to do with it?

An earth-mover with 158 pancakes, All-American left tackle, Hayward Field high school shot put record holder and No. 1 2026 football recruiting prospect Jackson Cantwell decides today at 11:45 p.m. PDT on a YouTube channel created especially for the announcement.

The Oregon target, a prodigiously strong 6-8, 320 with long arms and an athletic build, confessed two months ago that Dan Lanning was his favorite head coach among those who were recruiting him, but his agent is Drew Rosenhaus.

In February Cantwell said to On3's Steve Wiitfong, “I think my favorite head coach still to this day has been Dan Lanning. I think everyone can understand. Great guy. Missouri guy."

The Cantwell family has conducted a careful study of the 4.0 student's options, and it's looking like Georgia is winning out with a late push from Miami and a pre-commitment visit from the Oregon coaches.
