Oregon volleyball begins 2025 season with Green and Yellow Scrimmage

It's open to all fans and it's free. The Ducks begin their new season Friday with a Green versus Yellow Scrimmage at 6 p.m. PT Friday at Mat Knight Arena, North entrance doors open at 5.

On "Duck Insider" head coach Trent Kersten said, "Competition's been really high. That's one of the things they wanted to take pride in as a team, as a group, was how competitive they were when they suit of for practice."

Young fans can get autographs and meet their role models after the match. The Ducks have a new coach in Kersten, formerly of Loyola Marymount. They've added Sophia Meyers and Marlee Arrington from the transfer portal and open the 2025 season with a match at Oregon State Saturday August 23 at 4 p.m. Big Ten play begins a month later at Illinois on September 26.

Popular documentary series returns for Oregon football

With sign-stealing, tampering and clandestine scouting, football demands greater secrecy. Scott Anderson and the Duck video team offer fans an in-depth look at the progress of the No. 6-ranked defending Big Ten Champions in a Fall Camp video series called "Under Construction" which begins Thursday.

Anderson and his team take fans inside meeting rooms, team-building events and practice, careful not to reveal formations, schemes and plays while revealing the heart, determination and commitment that's made this team Top Ten finishers in each of the last two seasons.

Kiara, from San Jose, California and the No. 1-ranked women's amateur player in the world, takes on Caroline Smith of the United States in the first round at 11 a.m. PT. Kaleiya faces Megha Ganne of the U.S. at 2:10.
