Oregon softball makes it to Sunday, must take 2 from Stanford
Elise Sokolsky pitched six innings of shutout relief to pace the Ducks to a 9-1 win over Weber State in Jane Sanders Stadium Saturday night. Kedre Luschar drove in four runs with three hits, including a home run in the 4th.
Shortstop Paige Sinicki cracked a double and a triple, Rylee McCoy drove in two runs. Katie Flannery's two-run homer in the top of the second gave Oregon a 3-1 lead.
In order to advance to the NCAA Super Regional, the Ducks have to beat 2-0 Stanford twice in the double elimination Eugene Regional. First pitch Sunday is at 3:30 p.m. PT at the Jane, televised on the ESPN family of networks.

Great performances by Oregon track and field athletes highlighted the action at the Big Ten Championships at Hayward Field Saturday.
After Day Two of the three-day event, the Oregon men lead in the team standings with 65 points while the Oregon women are fourth with 25.
The Ducks' Annika Williams won the Heptathlon with 5,914 points. Benjamin Balazs won the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
Katie Clute ran a season-best 9:57.98 to finish fourth in the women’s 3,000 steeplechase.
Sunday's action will feature finals in the men's and women's 800 with Klaudia Kazimierska and Ella Nelson competing for Oregon after winning their heats.
Women's golf in 3rd at NCAA Championships
Through two rounds of the NCAA Tournament at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., the Oregon women's golf team sits in third place at 1-over-par 289, five shots behind leader Stanford.
The top 15 teams after Sunday's third round advance to the fourth and final round of stroke play, with the top eight teams advance to match play.
