The No. 1 Oregon Ducks are set to host the No. 20 Illinois Fighting Illini and despite the curse that top-ranked teams have suffered throughout the season, the entire ESPN College GameDay cast chose to fly with the Ducks over the Illini on Saturday morning.

From Lee Corso's former stomping grounds, Bloomington, IN, College GameDay had the usual Pat McAfee kicking challenge, the Coach Saban Film Room, and more ahead of Indiana versus Washington.

Despite being nearly 2,300 miles away from Eugene, the cast couldn't keep the Ducks out of their minds. From highlighting quarterback Dillon Gabriel to repeatedly mentioning Oregon's win over then-No. 2 Ohio State, everyone was talking about the Ducks.

Even celebrity guest picker and former Hoosiers baseball star, Kyle Schwarber, stuck with the Ducks as he voiced how impressed he has been with Oregon this year.

ESPN College GameDay Week 9 picks – Oregon vs. Illinois

  • Nick Saban: Oregon
  • Pat McAfee: Oregon

From Saban praising Dillon Gabriel to Pat McAfee screaming about the Ducks, all signs are pointing toward Autzen Stadium.

The last time Oregon played as the No. 1 team in the nation, the Ducks suffered a loss at the hands of the Stanford Cardinal. On the other side of the field, the last time Illinois faced a No. 1 team, the Fighting Illini toppled the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.

The No. 1 Oregon Ducks and the No. 20 Illinois Fighting Illini are scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT on CBS and Paramount+.
