Oregon Ducks stars Jevon Holland and Terrance Ferguson steal the show on Monday Night Football

Coming off Week 1, there was a ton of hype for the Monday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams. The New York Giants kicked off the John Harbaugh era by knocking off the Dallas Cowboys in an impressive showing while the Rams were the favorite to win the Super Bowl coming into the season.

A lot of the luster for the matchup went away on the first drive of the game as Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart left the game with a knee injury. While the game didn't end up living up to the hype, two former Oregon football stars showed up in a big way.

Jevon Holland and Terrance Ferguson steal the show on Monday Night Football

When Jaxson Dart was lost with an injury, the Giants hopes of winning the game were bleak, as the defense was going to have to slow down the Rams elite offense. New York's defense struggled for the most part, but Jevon Holland showed up to try to keep the Giants in the game.

With the Giants trailing 14-0, Jevon Holland was able to pick off Matthew Stafford on a deep ball to Davante Adams.

The Giants' offense failed to capitalize on the turnover, so Jevon Holland had to come to the rescue again. Right after the Giants punted the ball away, Jevon Holland got it back with a perfectly executed peanut punch, recovering his own fumble

Late in the game as things were looking bleak, Jevon Holland was able to force another fumble, but Blake Corum was lucky that the ball bounced right back to him.

While Blake Corum was lucky to recover his own fumble, it turns out another Oregon Duck should be even happier with the bounce. The Rams offense was able to continue moving the ball down the field, and Matthew Stafford was able to find Terrance Ferguson in the back of the endzone for his first career touchdown.

Terrance Ferguson dropped a few passes in this game, but he was still able to haul in 6 receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown. If Ferguson can cut down on the drops he'll have a chance to carve out a big role in this offense with how much attention teams put on Davante Adams and Puka Nacua.

While the Giants lost the game, two of the Ducks' greats showed out as Jevon Holland led the team in tackles with 8 to go with the turnovers he created. Kayvon Thibodeaux played a ton, and applied some pressure, but was kept off the stat sheet.

As Oregon Ducks continue to jump from the college level to become stars in the NFL, it's only bolstering Dan Lanning's recruiting pitch. The Ducks keep cashing in at the NFL level, and as long as they continue to perform at a high level, the cycle should only repeat itself.
