The Oregon women's basketball team has already had a rollercoaster of a season and the Ducks are only 15 games through their 2024-25 campaign. From upset wins over teams like the Baylor Bears to disappointing losses to teams like South Dakota State, people aren't quite sure where to place the Ducks in their rankings.

However, on Saturday, Jan. 4, Oregon righted a slightly sinking ship when the Ducks hosted the Wisconsin Badgers in a conference matchup.

At halftime, Oregon had built up a resounding 14-point lead over the Badgers and there was no looking back for the squad led by highly tenured head coach Kelly Graves. At the end of regulation, the Ducks had their second conference win in their pocket with a 68-52 victory over Wisconsin.

The usual suspects had their solid performances for the Ducks: Deja Kelly produced 10 points, Amina Muhammad scored 12 points of her own, and Phillipina Kyei was just a few stats away from a double-double on the night. However, one Duck surprised fans as she led the team in scoring.

Elisa Mevius, a transfer guard from the Siena Saints, earned 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists as she led Oregon to its victorious effort.

Missing from the starting lineup was star guard Peyton Scott who Graves said remained on the sidelines with what appears to be a "minor knee injury." Scott suffered a season-ending injury during the first game of the year during the 2023-24 season but Graves sounded hopeful that she would return to the lineup soon.

The Ducks will visit the Penn State Nittany Lions on Jan. 9 to continue their conference schedule. Oregon and Penn State are scheduled to tip off at 3 p.m. PT.
