It's a heck of a time to be an Oregon football fan.

First, the Ducks beat Ohio State to take firm control of the Big Ten standings, sitting at the top with Penn State. Second, Oregon jumped to No. 1 in the Week 9 AP Top 25 after beating Purdue on Friday, 35-0, and watching No. 1 Texas lose at home to Georgia. And finally, Dan Lanning is watching as his recruiting efforts are taking off.

Oregon is recruiting as well as any team in the country right now and that makes sense because, well, the Ducks are No. 1 in the polls. Of course they should have some recruiting success.

In fact, Oregon's 2026 recruiting class is ranked No. 1 in the country, led by five-star Kodi Greene and four other top-150 targets.

The Ducks have a four-star quarterback committed in the class as Jonas Williams (No. 130 nationally) chose Oregon back in early August. But he may soon have some competition as the No. 1 quarterback in the country is currently leaning toward Oregon.

Curtis just decommitted from Georgia after being pledged there for about seven months and now the Ducks are looking like the favorite to land him, in his own words.

According to Hayes Fawcett, Curtis said that his "interest in Oregon is above the others right now".

If you're an Oregon fan, you have to love hearing that from the No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 class who happens to be the No. 4 overall recruit, per the composite.

Lanning could soon complete the flip of the five-star from Nashville, Tenn., and give Oregon two elite quarterbacks in its 2026 class -- it'll be hard to keep both.
