Tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. PT Duck fans get a glimpse into the future. Five-star edge rusher Anthony "Tank" Jones will announce his college commitment live on the Pat McAfee Show at 9:30 a.m. PT.

Hayes Fawcett of Rivals/On3 Sports broke the news on X Wednesday afternoon.

From St. Paul's Episcopal in Mobile, Alabama is the No. 22 prospect in the 2026 class and the No. 4 edge rusher. He's quick, violent and relentless, deciding between home-state Alabama, Texas A&M and the Ducks.

For a long while now Alabama was thought to be a lock in his recruitment but it's pulled closer over the last two weeks. The Tide still have a powerful appeal but Oregon is in this.

In the spring Jones told Max Torres of "Scoop Duck:"

"I always liked Oregon when I grew up. The coaches, they’re all hands-on. They’re all gonna pour into you and they’re gonna be there for you at all times. They’re always texting me all the time and stuff. I just like that about the coaches and the staff.”

As a junior the 6-4, 240 pass rusher posted 84 tackles, 18 TFL, and 16 sacks. He visited Oregon on June 13 and last fall for the Maryland game.

The Ducks already have one edge rusher committed for 2026, four-star Prince Tavizon of Lincoln High School in San Diego. They have two very good ones working their way up the depth chart in Xadavien Sims and Elijah Rushing, both redshirt freshmen this season.
