Wednesday afternoon Adam Gorney of Rivals posted that Oregon leads for five-star, 6-7, 340 offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, who visited Eugene on April 5.

That'd be earth-shaking recruiting news by itself as Iheanacho is the No. 5 recruit in the country and No. 2 offensive tackle, but the Ducks already have a commitment from Kodi Greene, the No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 69 prospect.

Greene is a nimble 6-6, 390, a right tackle from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif. He specializes in blocking at the second level and getting out in front of plays in space.

What's even more stunning is that next weekend for the Oregon Spring Game on April 26, the Ducks welcome an official visit from Jackson Cantwell, the nation's No. 1 prospect and No. 1 offensive tackle, 6-8, 320 from Nixa, Missouri.

Wednesday Cantwell set social media on fire by reposting the suggestion that all three could end up at UO.

While a tweet is not a binding financial aid or NIL agreement, it's at least a clear indication that Cantwell's entertaining the idea of creating an offensive line Dream Team in the Emerald City. Having that beef and agility in one signing class would be a legitimate reason to unwrap the best cigar in the humidor or the sparkling wine filched from the swankiest wedding a Duck fan ever attended. It's unprecedented.

And there's more. Tuesday 5-star quarterback Ryder Lyons visited UO again. In his first year as a varsity starter the Folsom High quarterback won a state championship while passing for 3,578 yards and 38 touchdowns. He ran for 950 yards and 23 more TDs.

Lyons told On3 Sports,

“Coach Stein, coach Lanning, how they’re doing as a program, they’re just building and building. Me and coach Stein have a great relationship, probably the best out of any other coaches."

Lyons excels in leadership and toughness. Last September he won a game over No. 18 Long Beach Poly 63-20, a game he finished with a broken finger. He threw touchdowns of 60 and 25 yards in the win, racking up 260 yards of offense.

“It’s all right, the nail came off, it’s a little swollen but it’s my left hand.”

The grit is the X factor. When a team is recruiting linemen the caliber of Iheanacho, Greene and Cantwell, it's imperative to have a leader who inspires confidence and trust, who can match their effort and commitment.

Lyons makes an official visit to Eugene on June 13, while quarterback Rival Jared Curtis announces his decision on May 5.

Over the weekend, the Ducks have scheduled visits from elite safety Jett Washington, safety Jireh Edwards, linebacker Nick Abrams, elite defensive lineman Deuce Geralds and 5-star cornerback Elbert Hill among others.

The last few weeks in Oregon recruiting have been quiet, but fans are about to witness the biggest explosion in the Northwest since the Kingdome was imploded.
