As Fall Camp nears its close, the only concern every fan has is making it through the offseason without suffering a major injury. Oregon heads into the season as a National Championship favorite after back-to-back trips to the College Football Playoff with a ton of the core of last season's team returning. Given how loaded the Ducks' roster is with talent, one injury shouldn't derail the season, but health is always vital.
Teams are typically known for keeping information at a minimum, especially in the preseason, to prevent opponents from game-planning ahead of time. Oregon Football's own social media however, revealed that one key member of the Ducks' defense may already be dealing with an injury.
Oregon Football reveals Nasir Wyatt may be injured
Throughout the offseason, the Oregon Football social media accounts have shared looks into the Ducks' practices. Among the latest photos shared by the team, one sparked worries among the fans as Nasir Wyatt was photographed practicing with a club on his right hand.

There's a positive side and a negative side to the reveal, both of which should be weighed before anyone has a reaction. Seeing Nasir Wyatt sporting a club is certainly a reason for concern, given the position that he plays and how important playing with your hands is. Unless the Ducks coaching staff has Wyatt wearing the club as a training tool, he's likely dealing with some level of injury.
On the positive side, the picture wouldn't have been included or taken if Nasir Wyatt wasn't practicing, which should be everyone's big takeaway. Nasir Wyatt wouldn't be practicing if the injury were serious, so seeing him on the field is a positive sign. The Ducks have a soft opening game against Boise State where Nasir Wyatt could sit out if his recovery is a concern.
Heading into the season, Nasir Wyatt is a major breakout candidate for the Ducks, and he could be a key piece to the unit. Wyatt has started to play linebacker in camp, giving him a path to even more playing time while earning the praise of his coaches. Wyatt can be unleashed with the two starting pass rushers, Matayo Uiagalelei and Teitum Tuioti, on passing downs while spelling both at times, but the first step is being healthy.
