When the college football season kicks off, it'll also resume the 2028 recruiting cycle, which is quickly coming into focus. The vast majority of the top recruits in the 2027 class are already off the board, and the 2028 class is already picking their schools sooner than we've seen in most cycles. As things currently stand, the Ducks are without a commitment in the 2028 cycle, but the board is quickly becoming clearer.
The arrival of the season will speed up the recruiting process as top recruits take gameday visits to their top schools. Given the Ducks' recruiting prowess and the excitement of this upcoming season, it's going to be a busy Fall in Eugene.
Oregon lands gameday visit with De La Salle star Landon Miller
On Wednesday, California native and De La Salle star Landon Miller announced the gameday visits that he's set for the upcoming season, with a trip to Eugene planned for the October 10th game against UCLA.
Concord (Calif.) De La Salle linebacker Landon Miller has lined up a handful of game visits for this season, including stops at Cal, Oregon and USC, and continues to work on possible dates with a few Midwest suitors.

According to Rivals' Industry Recruiting Rankings, Landon Miller is the 172nd ranked player in the Country, the 15th ranked linebacker in the class, and the 11th ranked player out of California.
Over the weekend, Rivals' Greg Biggins spoke about the recruitment of Landon Miller, and where the Ducks are trending on the Rivals YouTube page.
"They've always historically recruited De La Salle well. But, Landon Miller again he's been to Oregon. He likes them. They like him. I think right now he's got Ohio State and USC also very high in his list. I think Oregon is in that with Landon Miller who I think is pretty elite as a linebacker."Greg Biggins
According to MaxPreps, Landon Miller finished his Sophomore season with 38 total tackles, 24 solo tackles, 2 sacks, and an interception. If Landon Miller can take that next step at a top school like De La Salle, he's only going to fly up the rankings.
While Dan Lanning and the Ducks bringing home a National Championship is the top priority, the success on the field should have major ripple effects on the recruiting trail. The hope now is that the Ducks can use these gameday visits to lay the foundation before hopefully pushing for the Nation's top class in 2028.
