Official Visit season is starting to kick off in college football, and the next several weeks are going to be a pivotal time on the recruiting trail. Ever since Dan Lanning took over at the helm of Oregon, the Ducks have made a yearly tradition out of signing a top 5 class nationally. If that's going to be the case again this year, Oregon is going to need to go on a serious run this Summer.

As things currently stand, Oregon holds 12 commitments, accounting for the Nation's 10th ranked recruiting class. Official Visits will be key in Oregon bolstering this recruiting class, and as some of the top players in the country continue to release finalist lists, it appears that the Ducks could have some exciting times ahead.

Georgia Native Drew Williams includes Oregon in final 4

On Wednesday Night, 3-star linebacker recruit Drew Williams announced his final 4 schools with Oregon, Miami, Kentucky, and Florida making the cut.

The news of Drew Williams announcing his final four also comes with the fact that he'll take an official visit to each finalist. The Ducks will get the first chance at pitching Drew Williams as he'll take his visit to Eugene on May 29th.

According to Rivals' Industry Recruiting Rankings, Drew Williams is a 3-star recruit, ranked as the 1,198th ranked player in the class, the 112th ranked linebacker in the class, and the 126th ranked player out of Georgia. While Williams' ranking is low, it's mostly due to ESPN and 24/7 Sports not ranking him to this point, and the schools who are recruiting Williams should tell a much bigger story.

This past season at Canton, Georgia's Sequoyah, Drew Williams had a monster season racking up 135 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 5 sacks, and 20 quarterback hurries.

Anytime you're trying to lure a prospect out of Georgia, and Kirby Smart doesn't make the finalists group, it's a massive win. Add in that Dan Lanning has a ton of experience recruiting the state of Georgia from his time coaching for the Bulldogs, and the Ducks could make a strong push for Williams.

Schools like Kentucky and Florida have seemed like the presumed front runners in Williams' recruitment which means the Ducks will have some work to do.

Oregon has already started to build up this recruiting class at linebacker with a pair of commitments from 4-star Brandon Lockley Jr and 3-star Sam Ngata already committed. As Dan Lanning and the staff look to build out this class, Williams becomes a player to watch along with 4-stars Brayton Feister and Toa Satele.
