Over the past several years in college football, fans have gotten used to watching players with major NFL bloodlines dominate this level. Whether it's been Arch Manning and the buzz he draws at Texas to Joey Porter Jr or Mason Taylor at LSU, the players have been living up the family name. Among the many to dominate at this level was former Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr.
The son of Marvin Harrison Sr opted to attend Ohio State rather than his father's alma mater Syracuse, and it turned out great to say the least. Harrison developed into a "generational" wide receiver prospect going top 5 in the NFL Draft while winning the Biletnikoff Award with the Buckeyes.
College defensive coordinators that thought they no longer needed a gameplan to take away Harrison will be up all night, realizing the most talented may be on the way.
Jett Harrison names No. 1 ranked recruit with Oregon contending
On Monday, Rivals updated their recruiting rankings for the 2028 class, and remaining the top player in the group was wide receiver Jett Harrison, the son of Marvin Harrison Sr and the brother of Marvin Harrison Jr.

The rising Junior isn't a case of the name carrying the hype as he's been a monster at the High School level. At 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, Jett Harrison already has a college ready frame while he continues to develop.
For his age, Jett Harrison is incredibly polished with elite route running to pair with natural hands. Harrison makes 50/50 balls look more like 90/10 balls with a truly absurd catch radius to pair with his ability to track the ball.
As Jett Harrison's recruitment begins to come into focus, Oregon is one of the schools that will get a chance to host the 5-star recruit.

The hope for the Ducks, and most of the top schools in contention will be to get Jett Harrison on campus this summer for a visit.
The good news for Oregon is that the next year could be the perfect pitch to a player like Jett Harrison. Evan Stewart has a chance to rebound from injury and head to the NFL while Dakorien Moore and Jeremiah McClellan have a chance to have true breakout seasons. The Ducks have done a solid job developing wide receivers, but producing one to the caliber of being a 1st round pick would be key.
The Ducks can also tell Jett Harrison to keep a close eye on Will Mencl who could likely be his future quarterback. Mencl is picking up MVP Awards at an absurd rate on the recruiting circuit, and if Harrison wants to have a special career, playing with that level of Quarterback would only help.
Overcoming Ohio State may be a tall task, but the Ducks have shown all the right signs under Dan Lanning to attract a player with Harrison's talent to Eugene.
