The Oregon Ducks are currently all in on the recruiting trail as the end of spring practices has started the portion of the calendar when official visits and recruiting reign supreme. The Ducks currently hold the Nation's 8th-ranked, but Dan Lanning and his staff haven't gone on the type of run we've seen in past seasons, where every day felt like a new top-100 recruit was committing to Oregon.

When you looked at the 5-star recruits that Oregon could add to this recruiting class, the player that stood out was 5-star cornerback recruit Donte Wright. While Donte Wright was committed to Georgia, Oregon kept recruiting him with hopes of pulling off the flip.

On Saturday, Donte Wright flipped his commitment, but it wasn't great news for the Ducks.

Donte Wright flips his commitment to Miami, potentially ending Oregon's dreams

On Saturday Afternoon, Donte Wright announced he was flipping from Georgia to Miami, giving Mario Cristobal a major recruiting win.

According to Rivals' Industry Recruiting Rankings, Donte Wright is the 8th ranked player in the country, the 2nd ranked cornerback recruit in the class, and the top player out of the state of California.

The Oregon Ducks will now hope that Donte Wright doesn't shut his recruitment down as there's still a chance he flips once again. Wright planned to take an official visit to Eugene this Summer, and getting him back on campus would go a long way.

If the Ducks aren't able to land Donte Wright in this cycle, the Ducks are still in a great place with the young cornerbacks on the roster along with the players committed in this class. Oregon currently holds top 100 commitments from cornerback Ai'King Hall and safety Semaj Stanford along with the top player out of Oregon in cornerback Josiah Molden.
