The Oregon Ducks can't catch a break this season as injuries have played a major role in Dan Lanning's team starting 4-3 in a year that began with championship expectations. Dante Moore, Aaron Flowers, and Trent Ferguson have all been ruled out for the season, while stars like Jamari Johnson, Evan Stewart, and Jeremiah McClellan have all missed extended time.

The Ducks are currently locked in a battle with the 20th ranked Northwestern Wildcats with Dan Lanning's team trying to get the season back on track. The bad news is that the Ducks are going to have to try and spark a comeback without their leading rusher.

Jordon Davison ruled out for the remainder of Northwestern game

In the 1st half, the Oregon Ducks were dealt another tough blow as starting running back Jordon Davison limped off the field after being tackled. When the team returned from the locker room, Oregon ruled out the Sophomore, dealing another blow to an already reeling Oregon offense.

Davison appeared to have suffered a leg/lower body injury on the play, and hearing that he's on crutches isn't encouraging news. Adding in the fact that Dierre Hill Jr. spent time on the sideline during the 1st half, the Ducks' star running back duo is far from healthy, which isn't going to help take pressure off Dylan Raiola.

Jordon Davison left the game with 3 carries for 17 yards, along with a catch for -3 yards which is where he appeared to suffer the injury.

With Davison ruled out for the remainder of the game, new offensive coordinator Jay Johnson is going to have to look further down the depth chart to give the offense a spark. Dierre Hill Jr. is going to be asked to carry the offense, but both Da'Juan Riggs and Brandon Smith received carries in the 1st half, and should be key factors the rest of the way.

The Ducks struggled to get the rushing attack going in the first half with just 12 carries for 33 yards, averaging just 2.8 yards per attempt.

Dylan Raiola started to find a rhythm near the end of the 1st half, and he's going to need to rise to the occasion to help the Ducks win. Oregon has the talent at wide receiver and tight end to beat this Northwestern defense, but it starts with hitting the open throws when they're there.

This story will be updated when additional information is provided on the status of Jordon Davison.
