The Oregon Ducks head into the 2026 college football season with one of, if not the most talented, rosters in college football. When you look up and down the Ducks' depth chart, there are superstars at nearly every position, leading to Oregon being one of the front runners for the National Championship. The lone position group that gives people pause when considering the Ducks is the offensive line.
Offensive tackles Isaiah World and Alex Harkey, along with guard Emmanuel Pregnon, are off to the NFL, leaving some big holes to fill on the offensive line. Rather than going out and landing big name offensive linemen, the coaching staff is relying on the homegrown talent to step into the roles with the addition of just 1 transfer.
All signs point toward the offensive line battles continuing through Fall camp and into the season, where the staff can judge the pieces in contention for full-time roles on their performances in the games. When the staff does rotate players through several positions, expect a freshman to be heavily in the mix.

If Tommy Tofi reaches the point where the coaching staff feels comfortable with him playing both tackle and guard positions, he's going to be one of the most important pieces of the offensive line. The hope for every fan would be to see him earn one of the jobs as a starter, but if the coaching staff goes in another direction, there's still a lot to be excited about.
Every season, offensive linemen deal with injuries, and having starter-caliber talent waiting in the wings is incredibly valuable. Tommy Tofi being ready to play anywhere aside from center only helps the team avoid a drop-off.
Any time the coaching staff signs a recruiting class, the hope is always that you have a few players ready to make an impact as freshmen.
